Hostile Wasp Nest
This was a very interesting nest to do. A few days previously, a gentleman who lived at this property tried to tackle the nest himself. Unfortunately, he came off worse and suffered multiple stings and had to be rushed into hospital. When I arrived the next day, the wasps were on guard & highly aggressive. I approached with caution and applied a chemical and the nest was destroyed. The gentleman recovered and returned home a few days later. Excellent news!
Wasp nest in cavity wall!
You just never quite know where a Queen will choose to start her new colony. This nest had been constructed in a cavity wall in a house. The wasps had made an entrance hole in the brickwork mortar, as a doorway for them to the outside world!
Wooden Beam Wasp Nest
This was a very well thought out location for a nest.
It had been constructed in the wooden beams on this property. Wasp & Hornet nests are formed by the workers chewing on wood, and then mixing with their saliva, to create a sticky substance, which then drys and bonds together. This is done continuously over the summer period to create some very beautiful, unique structures!

Hornets belong to the insect family of ‘Vespidae’ This nest was removed from a clients garden. We carefully exposed the nest to reveal the inside environment of these extremely hard working & regimented insects!
